Contentworks Agency turns 3 this week! Wow, that time has really flown by. To celebrate our anniversary, we thought it might be fun to see whether that time has flown by equally fast for investors of some popular instruments. Perhaps they’ve been sitting on the edge of their seat for the past 1,095 days. We’ll have a look, then give you a quick overview of all the events you won’t want to miss this week.

Where would you put your money?

It’s a simple question: if you had a time machine and $1,000 USD, where would you put your cash on this day 3 years ago? Okay, simple, but slightly improbable! Pick any of the following, and you would be laughing all the way to the bank right now. (Compliance we hear you screaming into your morning coffee)

Bitcoin (BTC)

Price then: $1,780.37 (11.05.2017)

Unit price today: $8,543.99

Value of investment: $4,784.63

2017 was a massive year for Bitcoin. This was the year that saw crypto hit the big time, December rallies and extreme FOMO pushed many tokens to their still unbeaten All-Time-Highs (ATH).

Staggeringly, if you’d bought 1,000 USD worth of Bitcoin in May 2017 and miraculously decided to sell it on the 17th of December 2017, when it hit its ATH ($20,089.00), you would have made $10,249.84 in profit, a return of a gigantic 925% in just 7 months!

It’s okay, we hate ourselves, too.
